About Me

Welcome to Flowers on Footprints!

My name is Nicole Osborne. I'm a 42 year old mom, wife, and faithful dreamer! In July of 2021, I received my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. I currently serve as the Administrative Intern at an elementary school in my community. I have a 13 year old daughter and my husband is a police Sergeant with IMPD here in Indianapolis.

In October of 2015, I underwent open heart surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm. Six months later, I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer). I had 8 chemo treatments, a double mastectomy, and 25 radiation treatments.  Formal treatment ended in December of 2016, but my last surgery was in December of 2018!

Flowers on Footprints started way before that in 2012. Originally, it was a blog, a journal of the journey I was making towards being totally free of fear.  Over time, it grew into something more; an outlet for creativity, a place of inspiration, a home for those on a similar journey. But now...well, now life is totally different.  So much has happened. And I have found myself in a new season, growing and blooming in ways I never thought possible!

I’m thankful for the opportunities God has provided to share my story and I hope to continue shining His light through whatever darkness you may be facing.  I look forward to connecting with you through writing, workshops, and/or speaking events.  Here’s to new adventures!
